Tools & Resources
Making Scripture available for people around the world is a complex process involving research, translation, digitisation and publishing. Our tools support teams doing this work at every step.
Our mission to make the Word of God available and accessible to everyone is not a simple task, but it’s one that people around the world are passionately advancing. Translating Scripture involves a whole landscape of people, processes, and systems which help make translations available for individuals and communities. Our tools support this ecosystem and mission.
As we do our work as translators and consultants, reference tools like Paratext help provide important knowledge and insights, and communities like TAZI build valuable connections with others to share knowledge.
Other tools like the Digital Bible Library provide the workflows and ecosystems to take our translations and make them available in a variety of formats so they can be delivered to everyone in an accessible way.
And for all kinds of people, engagement tools such as the Translation Insights and Perspectives tool help unlock the Bible and provide insights by allowing translators to share their knowledge in an accessible way, illuminating Scripture for all.

The tools and resources that UBS provides support the work of the translation team, from academic support with the actual work of translation through to collaborating with partner organisations and managing the licensing of a translation.
The Translation Landscape comprises a network of many organisations, individuals and technologies — all with one goal in mind: to bring Scriptures to everyone in the language and medium of their choice.
UBS tracks progress, supports efficiency and ensures quality from end to end of the translation process. The process starts with the local Bible Society, part of UBS, engaging and collaborating with the local church, through to storing, managing and distributing the translated Scripture using the Digital Bible Library, developed and maintained by UBS.
