What we are printing here as a short paper is actually the opening section of a United Bible Societies manual on selections. In the manual this opening section is called “Some basics”, and it is followed by other sections entitled “Choosing the text”, “Illustrations”, “Production”, “Distribution”, “Selections in newspapers”, and “Evaluation”.
