Journals on Bible Translation

Le Sycomore

Le Sycomore

Le Sycomore is a scholarly journal in French devoted to various fields of study related to the practice of Bible translation, including linguistics, anthropology, exegesis, theology, philology, translation theory, and Scripture use. Published by the United Bible Societies in partnership with SIL, its editorial board includes international specialists in Bible translation. Contributions come mostly from Bible translators and Bible translation consultants, but also from practitioners and theoreticians in related domains. Overly technical style is avoided in order to engage a broad readership among Bible translators, academic institutions, and churches, and to facilitate dialogue among various stakeholders.
